Abby Welch attended the University of Central Oklahoma and received her BFA in Dance Performance in 2019. During her time at UCO, she trained in ballet, modern, jazz, and aerial dance. Additionally, she was a member of both Kaleidoscope Dance Company and KD2, which gave her the opportunity to attend the American College Dance Association in 2016 and 2019, as well as participate in the company performance tour to Korea in May 2019. During college, Abby had the opportunity to perform as a dancer with 19th Century Hound in “Those Who Lie Beyond” at Factory Obscura’s “Beyond” experience. Shortly after graduation, Abby met Rebekah and was invited to become a member of FALL. In preparation for this move, Abby remained in Oklahoma City and became a member of the aerial and modern dance company, Perpetual Motion Dance, and remained with the company until the pandemic. Finally, in the summer of 2021, Abby made the move to Nashville to begin preparation and training with Rebekah for “A Bending of its Own Kind”. Abby is excited to share this work that the company is doing and is eager to continue reaching new audiences as it evolves.
