EDUCATION AND OUTREACH
THE PLAYGROUND PROJECT
A site-specific and site-responsive choreographic project created and performed on a playground, The Playground Project encourages children of all ages to see value in their own unique story and offers creative tools with which to express it.
In the spring of 2019, FALL partnered with Stratton Elementary in Madison, TN, for a program that included a 6-week residency at the school with onsite rehearsals, four days in the classroom teaching creative writing and movement as tools for personal expression and storytelling, and a final, free performance for almost 500 students inspired by their stories and their community.

NASHVILLE SCHOOL OF THE ARTS DANCE PROGRAM
Since 2019 FALL Company Artists have worked with students of the Nashville School of the Arts Dance Conservatory to provide training and performance instruction in both aerial and contemporary dance. Students from the aerial training program have gone on to train at Circadiam School of Contemporary Circus, as well as to teach and perform professionally.

NSA/FALL APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
For those interested in pursuing dance and/or aerial professionally who demonstrate exceptional talent, commitment, and an eagerness to learn, select students from the Nashville School of the Arts Aerial class are extended an offer to apprentice with FALL for one year. Apprentices train with the company, taking classes and participating in rehearsals and other activities on a per-project basis. They also receive mentorship and career counseling from Artistic Director Rebekah Hampton Barger and other Company Artists. Our goal is impart our values of wellness and balance to young artists as they embrace a future in dance, and we are here to help guide them on a healthy, successful career path.

WORKSHOPS AND MASTERCLASSES
Through our many creative and educational partnerships, FALL has offered community workshops and masterclasses in a variety of forms throughout the years. With opportunities for professional artists, students, and community members alike, we provide unique experiences for individuals to interact with the arts at any level. Examples include a photography workshop on shooting aerial dance, a masterclass on working with invented aerial apparatuses, and Accessing Intentional Awareness While Improvising, a workshop exploring different perspectives on building interconnected awareness between musicians and dancers while interpreting improvisational concepts.
FALL is also a proud partner of the Tennessee Governor's School and has offered aerial dance masterclasses to students of the dance program since 2016.
